We are getting hammered lately. Whether it is trial or attack, we need your prayers. For no apparent reason at all, I hurt my low back last Wednesday, and still can barely walk, after 4 days of bed rest. My younger son broke or badly sprained his wrist on Friday night, and has a temporary cast until we can get him in to see a specialist on Monday morning. I plan to go at the same time to see if anything can be done for my back. At the same time, Kaz has had some disappointing news from within his family, and is burdened by that. Sorry we can’t give more detail than that.
Anyway, we are only 6 days away from our big Christmas caroling concert at the shopping street, and I was just crying out in frustration to God this morning (as I was missing church) – “I just want to be a part of expanding your Kingdom in Gumyoji!” Pray that I can at least participate in this event we’ve been preparing for the last few months.
Also, we’d appreciate your prayers for protection as we step out into increasingly unfamiliar territory – from trying to negotiate a place to rent for our church, to hosting a missionary family to pastoring more people with diverse needs. We are in over our heads – good thing we believe in a God who can make us walk on water! Amen.
Oh Lord, God of the Universe with unlimited resources – place your healing Hands on Andrea’s back and heal her, please, Jesus. Let her rise up and walk in Your Name. Please answer her pleas with a YES that she can participate in the special event for Christmas. Also, Lord, please let her son get exactly the care he needs for his wrist, and let is heal up quickly and completely. Please give them both rest, comfort, strength and patience until You answer these prayers. And please continue to guide them in wisdom on the location for the Body there to meet. In Jesus’ Name, so be it!
